Program Description:

The University of Baltimore Merrick School of Business webBachelor’s program, introduced in the fall of 2001, gives students the opportunity to complete the last 60 credits of their Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration completely online. The Merrick School’s program is accredited by AACSB International—The Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business. This mark of excellence ensures that students will receive the high-quality education they deserve.

The program focuses on career readiness, communication, information technology, and problem solving. The leading edge curriculum covers the major areas of business, with elective courses that allow students to explore areas of interest in greater depth. Both online and on-campus courses are taught on a conventional 15-week fall and spring semester schedule with summer classes available. WebBachelor’s students are always welcome to enroll in courses offered on UB’s campus.

Students who graduate from the webBachelor’s program may be eligible for UB's webMBA. Such students may are able to finish their MBA with as few as 10 courses.

Our faculty are full-time professors and scholars as well as seasoned practitioners. They bring up-to-date knowledge to their courses that can be used on-the-job. They also understand the demanding schedules and responsibilities of working students and design their lessons with this in mind.

Additional Information:

Admission to candidacy in the webBachelor’s program is open to students with an A.A. degree or who have at least 56 transferable college credits with a 2.0 average on a 4.0 scale. These credits must be earned at institutions accredited by any regional accrediting association.

To participate, students need a computer with an Internet service provider (ISP), 28.8 modem or faster Internet connection, a Web browser (Netscape version 3.02 or later, Internet Explorer version 4.01 or later. or AOL version 4.0 or later), an E-mail account that supports attachments, FAX access (needed occasionally), Microsoft Office 97 Suite, a printer, and VGA monitor and sound card. Students interact online with professors, classmates, and business and professional leaders.

A UB education doesn’t end with a diploma. UB’s overall mission is to provide a meaningful education that enhances career and life goals. UB’s Career Center offers counseling, experiential education, comprehensive resources, and employment connections to students and alumni.

Here are three reasons to earn your bachelor’s degree online at UB—AACSB accreditation, our career-minded approach to a quality education, and the flexibility that online learning offers.
