Carroll Community College

Carroll Community College is an innovative center of learning that focuses on the intellectual and personal development needs of the learner; promotes effective teaching; responds to and embraces an increasingly diverse and changing world; establishes a sense of community (even when learning at a distance) for students and those who support the student; uses institutional resources effectively; and values and promotes lifelong learning.

Carroll Community College offers distance learning courses (online, TV, and interactive video) in a variety of academic areas, including philosophy, business administration, computer information systems, English, and geoscience, as well as continuing education. Carroll's online courses are asynchronous (do not require you to sign-on at a specific time), so you can participate in your courses at any time of day or night.

Program Information

Carroll uses an e-learning program called Blackboard. Visitors and prospective students can view course listings and preview selected courses by first establishing a "Guest" Blackboard account. Click here for information and narrated instructions about Carroll's Blackboard Blackboard is used for both web-based (online) and web-enhanced (classroom-based) courses at Carroll.
